A bit frustrating this match, we were second best after the first 15 minutes or so with only Dieng keeping us level, their opener was from some very poor marking on a corner, after we levelled from the spot I thought we might just nip this one then they kill us on the counter again! We still seem to be trying to figure out who should be playing and our lack of being clinical around the goal bit us in this one! I didn't expect much from this but it is frustrating when we did have a chance for a result!@gatorTFC

Honestly I don’t think he’s good enough goes awol too long picks wrong option too often is creative enough honestly I don’t see enough in him to be convinced I’d build a side around him yeah he young needs to learn but you have to have the basics he just makes too many poor decisions for me to think he’s going to be the next number ten for usOriginally posted by QPRDave View Post
Ok fair enough, then give him a rest.
A couple of sub appearances against tired defences would help his confidence

It felt like a negative starting 11 , partly forced by Bos absence. Cameron , Ball , Carroll are not going to hurt you . Chair is not going to run you in behind on the left . I feel for Dykes as he’s feeding on scraps , same for Bonne when he came on , no service . Willock lively again .

I know what you mean about their third goal but it was somewhat chastening to see Armstrong blaze past Dickie for a second time and score for a second time.... We have to face up to fact that our CBs are very ponderous and we will get punished by any teams with pacey direct runners.Originally posted by Jeffqpr View PostConceding two goals when attacking & lost the ball & then counter attacked, not too bothered about 3rd as you are going for 2-2 when attacking & put players further forward & that’s what happened
I don't think there was much between the teams today but one team seemed better set-up and organised than the other - it felt like Rovers had done their homework on us and that was the difference.

As others posted, willock should start.Originally posted by Stainrod View PostIt felt like a negative starting 11 , partly forced by Bos absence. Cameron , Ball , Carroll are not going to hurt you . Comms said his feet seem to be getting quicker......not that I would know that

Was terrible leaving our slowest defender being left to man mark their quickest attacker on his own. Hes the only danger they had so should have put kakay on to man mark him. Seeing Dickie getting skinned twice isn't a good sign. I know most big centre backs aren't the quickest but surely the manager knew Armstrong needed special attention so just get our quickest defender on and tell him to literally follow him everywhere he goes. A la danny Maddix.Originally posted by Abseits View Post

Dickie could of brought him down but would’ve been sent off for it as already booked & was the last manOriginally posted by Abseits View Post

Must be a plus point that we've learned not to be led into giving away unnecessary penalties and attracting the consequent yellows when already on a yellow..Originally posted by Jeffqpr View Post

It was only going to go one way when it was clear that Armstrong was playing today. And it did. But we move on...
