That should add to the speculation ! Ebere missing from squad - if he goes he will only get starts in the cup so important not to be cup tied. Also looks like the guy from Brighton will be on the way back. Good to see Dalling on the bench. Hope he gets a run. Overall, sensible, balanced selection.Comment

The main issue regarding any sales is that we have for some ridiculous reason in recent years let teams basically take our players for a steal. The best way to look at it is should he be sold we need to make sure we get a true reflective market value fee, not 10p in the pound.. He's a player who is not only one of the very best performers in the division, but also an England U21 player who's stock will only rise in the coming years.
In the last couple of years Championship players have been sold for over £20m and not only strikers but also a CB, therefore if any bids are entertained for anything less than £20m for a player with the potential he has who is delivering top results right now, then the relevant people at the club clearly aren't doing their job properly. They should demand a proper fee and also a sell on clause because if he continues to improve in the way he has then the sort of team who would take him now would realistically be a stepping stone to one of the bigger fish in the not too distant future.
All that being said, hopefully we keep him longer, benefit from his form and in that time his value will only go up further anyway so win win.Comment

I couldn't agree more, there are so many recent examples of us not getting proper value for our players and I do understand we do have to sell assets!
