It wasnt shoulder to shoulder because Hazard gets in front of Vargas first. Vargas then barges into him. Needless foul because he's heading away from goal.

A definite pen....Hazzard did what any player would do in that situation, go down, can't blame him for that. A bit naïve from Vargas though. Looking better than now than a few weeks ago. Bring on the blue mancs!!

Watch it later on the TV Vargas angle of run never changes as oppossed to Hazard you moves across Vargas to look for the penalty. Clearly the ref brought it as some on here also appear to have done, completly robbed and much improved performance. Finally look like we are going in the right direction.

But wasn't in front of him as the contact was the shoulder, unbelievable decision clearly influenced by Mourino and fact it was at their ground. Would he have given that at the other end, no way and you know it.

exactly so Stan....cannot berate Hazzard for doing what he did. Any of our lot hopefully would do the same.

Again, that makes no difference. Its still a foul because Hazard has managed to get in front of Vargas, he's therefore entitled to move his body across to shield the ball. Vargas then needlessly barges him from behind his shoulder which is a blatant foul.
