Burnley Match Thread

Our build up play today was so slow, passing it around the back 4 which puts pressure on yourself. Burnley were the better team all over the pitch. A couple of our players have had stinkers (Henry, BAE)

We've got so used to just keeping the ball and teams sitting off us. TBF that's what we're likely to get most of the time

Barton, Simpson, Hoilett can be added to the list of below par performances too tbh

Austin was totally ineffective on his big return, but it wasn't his fault in any way shape or form today.

Have to give it to Burnley, they fought for every ball and pressed us high up the pitch. Deserved the win, we were poor. Have to go far more attacking against wigan

Lets hope this isnt the start of a slump now. We have ridden our luck in a few games, today we got exposed and the scoreline mirrors what everyone has been saying lately that we havent been playing that well even though we were unbeaten. I really like harry, one of my favorite people in football, but i so dont get his tactics, did he ever play any of his other teams so negatively? Dont remember spurs playing the way we do.

Dunno about the pundits saying Burnley would fade away after their great start i think its more likely we will. Burnley the much better team today.

I agree. Let's see how they get on when they get a few injuries. The other results were kind apart from Leicester.

Our passing was absolutely dreadful today, must have passed into touch at least 6 or 7 times. Had we kept possession better it would have frustrated them but we didn't and lost the game in a wimper......have to say though that Ref was embarrassing too !

To be fair we have played like that so much so far this season, its just that nobody we have played yet were as good as burnley. Can anyone remember a really great performance where we have played the other team off the park like burnley did to us today?
We havent scored more than two in a game yet either, when is that 'tonking' going to happen
