Fair enough everyone sees things differently, however both managers in the after match game said the game was short of chances but goals turn games, that’s the point people are making, another very poor attempt to save a weak shot handed initiative to them.

I don’t think he is a scapegoat, it’s because every game he looks dodgy, fans have no confidence in him.

Wba's physicality did us today , all over the pitch.... Kane couldn't get past his man time and time again . CB's had the beating of hugill every time. We were to light in midfield , to many lazy passes that were intercepted... We never took care of the ball . Never moved fwd quickly enough..Lumley is a accident waiting to happen id have him in for kicking practise ... But we move of to the Welsh sheep botherers in midweek

No one is hounding him out so stop exaggerating, sometimes when a keeper is constantly making mistakes, like he undeniably has they need to step out and regain their confidence.Ingram didn’t last 4 games last season before he was dropped and I don’t remember fans jumping to his defence.

get Kelly in..get a free transfer keeper in ? ...plenty of that ..as for Ingram ...look what happened to him..sure he has made mistakes ...but dropping him for other peoples mistakes ..not sure about that.

why can't you acknowledge the long list of mistakes that led to the player being in the position to make the shot in the first place?

no one is slating - Wells for letting him brush pass him , Kane for not closing him down - eze for being nowhere- cameron for running backwards waving his hands- but hey

Yeh we should've done more as a team to close the bloke down, but you can't go a whole game without the opposition getting within 30 yards of your goalkeeper - are you mad?

We were in a decent position, defence in place and the bloke should have to hit a worldy from there to beat a top keeper. It was nowhere near a top class shot, and any keeper worth their salt saves that easily.

We were in a decent position, defence in place and the bloke should have to hit a worldy from there to beat a top keeper. It was nowhere near a top class shot, and any keeper worth their salt saves that easily.

absolutely i have been to every game this season and that was completely lumley's fault no keeper is going to go through the season mistake free....Frances world cup winning goalkeeper seems to be making them on a regular basis ..allison for liverpool ...the sheff utd keeper today ...it is a hazard of the job....but it appears that many on here have written him off ...so lets get kelly in let him #### up then get deing in ...and so on and so on

guess we need to agree to disagree- if lumley should be dropped for his performances then so should Barbet ..oh and hugill hasn't scored for a few games either missing 3 absolute sitters along the way ..so lets drop him as well while we are at it

Didn't think there was that much between the two teams except they had a bit more snap, precision and accuracy to their play. Too many of our passes were inches/feet off where they needed to be and consequently the receiving player needed an extra second to control the ball or needed to check their run and our possession then lacked crispness/incision.
Their first goal was ludicrous to concede, that's the sort of goal that makes me look down the bottom of the table to check what sort of gap we have..... A complete failure on behalf of half our players to let their left back amble 60 yds and have a pot-shot which Lumley should have scooped up with no trouble whatsoever.

Stil can’t see that - was at the game and don’t see it as a Lumley mistake watched it back and he was left woefully exposed by a non existent left side

However, Lumley made a number of good saves to keep the score down. Yes. his distribution is poor, but why do they keep playing the ball back to him?

But let's not just blame Lumley because the whole team except perhaps Chair and Leistner, had awful games from the off.

Eze had what looked to be a good chance to run at goal and shoot just before half time but messed it up.

Kane misplaced so many passes, hardly got a cross into the box and on a number of occasions had the ball in open spaces and failed to take on the full back ( I thought after seeeing his cameo appearance in the opening game that he had pace to burn, so where was it today)?

Hugill and Wells failed to get into positions to score or make runs to stretch the WBA defence, never mind get an attempt on target.

Manning too, struggled to do anything useful in attack.
Cameron was poor, as was Barbet for much of the game.

Ball didn't do too well either.

I thought BOS should have replaced Kane, and I would have put him on the left instead to put some pressure on Furlong.

I do agree that the officials had a poor game too and seemed to let some fouls go against QPR whilst perhaps giving too many to WBA and might also have missed a few offsides.

All in all though, I think the better team won. It may be that QPR had a poor game, but also perhaps credit to WBA for closing QPR down better and in general bossing the game - I did sort of expect that given the squad they have, but that's not to say QPR should have made it so easy for them.

agree - everyone was off their game today - apart from Chair and Leistner as you say - WBA had done their homework on us an gave us absolutely no time the ball and we panicked - so many miss placed passes. we never had any rhythm for the whole game
