I highly doubt any EPL ref would have given a red for that too, especially after all the time he had (while the player was receiving treatment) to make certain it was the correct decision, and consult his assistants over it if necessary. Totally needless and unwarranted sending off which ruined the game as a contest and handed it to Real & Mourinho, who just had to make the right subs to kill the game off.

Incompetent ref who should never be allowed to officiate European football again. Turkish football is a much slower pace so that probably goes some way to explain his error.
