We bought him cheap but they put a clasue in te deal that tey get a percentage of any sell on in the future, some say 40%. It would come into effect if we sold him tomorrow or in 10 years time, ie whenever.

I have been bothered to look them up, and they compare very well actually. He has created more chances than four players on that list, made more successful through-balls than all bar one, and has more dribbles than any of them.

Obviously he loses the ball a bit more, and plays for a team more dependent on him than the others do, which will skew the stats. But Adel's stats this season are seriously excellent. People, especially fans, are very bad intuitive judges of stats. We tend to remember the bad miss by Mackie rather than the excellent Adel through-ball that preceded it, for example...

I doubt we'd get more than £10m for him, possibly a lot less if we feel we have to get rid of him in the summer if relegated. Brilliant value if whoever signs him has the right atmosphere and fits him into their team well

I'd imagine he'll go for around 4-6m if we get relegated unless he pulls off some amazing performances

if he was british we'd be talking 20 and he'd be a media darling NO QUESTION

10 mill. He would do very good at another club.

Stop nonsense, I don't see Taarabt's price tag over 4M at most.

                        Top talents transfer fee

                        Neymar - 55M
                        Gareth Bale - 42M
                        Mario Gotze -42M
                        Stephan El Shaarawy - 23M
                        Jack Whilshire -22M
                        Heung-Min Son - ~15M
                        Wilfried Zaha - 15M
                        Shinji Kagawa -14M

                        Taarabt 8M~12M??

                        NO WAY.

If he is anywhere near those above, I would consider him as a super talent but, he cant be that.

his skills are way too ineffective, wasteful
but I would be so happy if we could get over 5M.

Fails penalties, close range(in the box) free kicks, poor dribbling, ineffective skills, good vision but poor decision making, creative but wasteful, knows how to pass but dont pass.

                          Is he really worth 10M?

Most of the prices you've quoted are completely hypothetical so cant really be used as a benchmark. At the end of the day anyone could pick out actual transfers where better players have gone for low amounts and say Adel should be about £4-5m, or equally pick out transfers where players have gone for inflated values and say he should be worth £10-15m.

Over the last few years, Newcastle have probably dealt better than most for bargains with the likes of Cabeye, Ben Arfa, Sissoko etc representing top value transfers, whereas the likes of Carroll 35m, Allen £15m, Henderson £20m, Downing £20m, Jarvis £12m, Fletcher £12m etc etc etc suggest there are clubs prepared to spend way over the odds if they want a player.

                              £6 million tops.

But he's actually worth way, way more to us than that......... in the championship that is.......
