Ok I had time on me hands and we've had loads of posts about whether we're safe or not, so I thought this might help so we can see who's playing who and when (although i know the FA cup might change these) Anyway for instance when we're playing Man U which most think we'll lose and so prob be relegated, you can see Southampton and Villa both have hard games and Wigan play Reading, so surely we can be optimistic that if we do lose the others are not necessarily gonna create a huge gap.
As you can see QPR & Reading play all the others above Villa & Wigan play 3 of the sides, Southampton 2. I'm not saying we will win these games but it's very much in our hands and theres always a team that drops in so lets hope that happens again.

35 points will be enough. If we can get 4 wins and 6 draws we will be ok.

Glad you've fixed it and thanks for taking the time to present it so nicely!

I've said all along our destiny is in our own hands. We've taken reasonable points against better sides, our record has been shocking against weaker teams.
We have to change that now or it's curtains.
March and April has 8 games in a row that we need to pick up 16+ points to have a chance.
May's fixtures look tough to me

I have been talking about roughly 37 points for ages but TBH it could well work out that another 20 points will do it which is 5 wins and 5 draws or even 18 points to get to 35 as you say.

These basic facts are often overlooked by posters claiming each and every game is a 'must win' which is plainly false but regularly repeated all the same.

Are we too far adrift to sneak a Europa League spot does anybody know?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Thanks for posting that up, it's not easy but you have to create a table to do something like that.

Thought it shows that as long as we hang on in there i think there will be a lot of twists.... we are playing all those other 4 ....we have a chance.

I'd be quite happy for Villa and Wigan to draw on the final day and both go down with Reading.... easy, job done.
