Glad we didnt pay stupid money. It will almost certainly cost them around 2 million, maybe they did flex their muscles but bet they feel stupid now!
Thats my view too. They tried it on which is their right given he was their player. Im sure they thought we were desperate for him and were prepared to play whatever tune they requested, as Baggie suggested previous, now its cost them the best part of £6million on transfer fee and salary. How that is a win win for WBA and how the chairman appears to come out smelling of roses when he has lost them that amount of money but they remain with a player who dont want to be there is beyond me.

Had WBA said all along he was not for sale at any price then the stance is fair enough but the player clearly was for sale so why cut your nose off to spite your face

Its back fired on them to the point im confident if the Prem league said to clubs tomorrow the Transfer window is open (As a one off) for 24hrs WBA would be straight on the phone offering us him at the orginal price/deal less Hoillet

That's the way I would interpret the actions of WBA. This is the sort of thing that creates fueds and hatred between clubs and fans.

Hope not. Failing to sign either Crouch/Odemwinge has left the club with very limited striker options at the very moment they are needed the most.

I fingered a girl from Hertfordshire once when I was in Magaluf. She was quite nice actually.

Not exactly 'Mills & Boon', but I can see the romance in that.

You told me it was in the queue for a late night KFC
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

I wish - that wouldn't half be a good story to tell the lads at Weight Watchers on a Tuesday night.

I did get wacked by a bird in Ibiza last year queuing for KFC though. She asked me and a pal to rate her outta 10 and she didn't take too kindly to being told that, even through beer goggles, she was just about touching a generous 5
