I once met Sir Bobby at a pub when he was doing an opening for the brewery. A real gent. I have a signed caricature of him which is a prized possession.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.Comment

I was lucky enough to meet Sir Bobby and Frank Mclintock on a train to Exeter St David's train station as well as (Mike) Varney who was the Spurs physio at the time (I think or England) anyway they were on their way to play in a testimonial match for someone at Exeter City.... I was beside myself meeting Frank but I also remember Sir Bobby being very kind and generous with his time to an 11yr old QPR fan on his way back to boarding school..... Back in 77 R's had only recently lost out on winning the league and Sir Bobby had lifted the WC just over tens years beforehand so was a massive name still.....Comment
