Samba isn't a 'saleable asset' as he's nearly 29 and being paid far more than any other club will pay him. Outside of Russia, UAE etc, but I think its clear he'd rather play in London than elsewhere.

Only 5 or so CBs in the Prem earn more than him

Doesn't make him a bad player - far from it, I think he's excellent - but he's not going to get much in the way of a transfer fee if he leaves as we'll be subsidising wages

I haven't heard TF mention anything about his wages - my source of his wages is the same source that told me on 5th December he would be signing for us. So now your turn; who's your source for his apparent mega wage?

So do you know how much he is on or not? And if so, how do you know?
TF hasnt said how much he is on, he's simply said the figure reported is wide of the mark.

Ref the loans and amounts paid, you're missing the point completey. DJ and Both were at lowere league clubs, who often pay a fraction of a players wage. Cisse, Ferdinand and Faurlin went out to top flight clubs in their relevant country, hence would expect them to pay significant % of their wages.

And yes the far east clubs do throw money about so i would not be surprised in the slightest if they paid Cisse's wage in full.... do you not see the money effectively retiring players get offered just to play in the far east....?

As for your last comment, you now accept we could be paying slightly less in wages now, which completely contradicts the statement in your opening post.
