It would not free up a space - you name your squad by the deadline and once you have, that is it. We could sign him as a free agent but he couldn't be included so what's the point and besides, as mentioned already why would WBA release him for nowt?

The only thing I can think of if he's going on loan with a 24 hour recall, to keep him match fit otherwise this is madness.

I don't understand this in the slightest. It's not like we're flush with goalscorers and he's been named in the 25. Scored plenty of goals in the Premier League for Blackpool and just came off a great spell with Ipswich. Considering Zamora and Remy are both of questionable fitness I'm very upset at this.

When has he ever played a role for us? To me, it seems like the Blackpool style of play suits him better. At QPR, he seldom gets the chance to taste the ball..
