So anyone has any idea why it didn't happen in the end? Why would WBA not let us have him if he drove down here? Surely he's no good to them now.

Shortsighted by West Brom... Why hold out for extra £500k if it was that, fail to cash in, have to take him back when his position is untenable so doubt he'll feature for them now, they will pay him more than that £500k in wages by the end of the season, and then if they sell in the summer his value's dropped further and they will lose out big time.

          Very weird.

Principles. Can't really blame them. As much as I admire Odemwingie's tenacity over the whole affair, if it had come off he'd be a legend. Since it didn't he'll be infamous and a cautionary tale for every footballer.

Apparently he was last spotted driving to Dundee in his bare feet eating an entire Toblerone.

I wonder if his teammates make him train in a QPR top today?

Perhaps their kit manager will buy a shirt from the QPR club shop and put in on the dressing room bench for him on saturday - would be a well deserved prank.

I admire their principles and its good to see an overpaid footballer these days not get what they want and expect due to player power being too high.

I just think it can't be in their best interest and they will lose out financially by keeping him, which is shortsighted as they were haggling over more money.

Next time we're in this position, we need to make clear that we'll pay them the same amount as there are already getting, just throw in a few bonus's. Would some of the players want to join then?
