      Remy
      Taarabt-Granero-Odemwingie
These could do some damage and we really need some goals in the up coming games.
Odem to get some good money if way stay up but to take a paycut if we go down. Should be very good in the Championship

Works for me. And preferable to getting Crouch. Still, Harry knows best. I'd keep Mackie, but only as a squad player. Never as a regular first teamer.

I don't know what formation you play, but I am not sure of him out wide. In our 4231 formation, he's played wide left (we often play wide players on their 'opposite' sides) or wide right in the advanced 3. Even though he has many more attacking duties than defensive, his unwillingness to work has sometimes been costly. If he plays wide in a 442 or 4411 then he would have even more defensive duties, the neglect of which could be even more costly.

If you do sign him, play him up front.

If you don't sign him, be interesting to see how things go with him here, after his daft Twitter outburst. Personally, I don't want him near the first team again but we are not really in a position to write players off, particularly when they are our top earner!

One last thing - make sure you overtake the Villa.

He would be ridiculously good in the Champs. It'd be embarrassing, he'd murder it.

Surprisingly enough Harry doesn't pay attention to this message board to pick hiis team or formations! Thanks for your opinions though!

I also think that it has got to the stage where there is no real reason fo them to want to keep him, unless they think some other club will bid for him too.

Afterall, he has made it clear he doesn't want to be there and if he stays it will just cause unrest in the dressing room. Will he be motivated to play when asked to do so?

The situation is simialr to Samba at Blackburn last January. Perhaps they are hoping to get a big bid from another Russion club.

I don't think he is worth £4M, but if he came inthe side and scored and created enough goals to win 6 -8 games and keep the team up, it would be money well spent.

Crouch - for old school times I'd say yes

Odemderewinky - due to the way this has played out we should be REDUCING our bid not increasing it. That's proper hardball!!
Agree ...said the same about Odemwingie

I think if he signed, one option against some sides, could be playing a 4-2-1-2-1 system.

They could play Mbia and Derry protecting the back four with Taarabt in an attacking midfield role and Odemwinge and Remy either side of Crouch (if he signs) or Zamora.

As you suggest, it could be a very difficult situation if he stays after his outburst. The fans wont want him, and I am not sure how motivated he would be if asked to play, which could cause friction amongst the squad.

Well my iPhone's autocorrect is calling him 'Ode Meringue'. However, I think he might be of more use to us than crouch if we played him out wide instead of Mackie

Ah, that's what he'd have you believe, like how he said he doesn't know what Twitter is, then says he's seen or heard something off Twitter. ;-)

If he does go to you, if he is as good as he was for us when he first signed, you'll climb out of danger, I've no doubt. That's what drives me MAD about him.On his day he looks incredible. It's just that his 'day' for us has occurred less and less, as it seems he hasn't been happy for some time.

Anyway, good luck. I am off to worry about whether we can do anything about our mid-season collapse...

They've already rejected £6m, which is £2m more than Odemwingie.

Rejecting because he is their number one striker unlike Od.
