I like Mackie but for that price it would be good business.

I think we need to suck it up this window and pay over inflated prices for proven premier league players.

Moaning over an extra few million in our position is silly with the huge financial package next season.

Danny Simpson and Jonus Olsson would cost around £9-10 million and they would be perfect.

Livermore on loan and Odemwingie for £3.5 million.

Kenwynne Jones and Danny Graham for £9 million.

Around £22 million spent for 6 proven premier league performers would be excellent business.

I honestly think most of the lot on here have never played football because if they did they would realise that quality is only 50% of the game. We've signed supposedly "quality players" from Real Madrid, Man United, England internationals all have been absolute pony, no other word for it. In a relegation fight the foundation is to fight and give 100%, quality will come after that. We tried to buy those types of players and we can all agree it hasnt worked, so if you call Granero, Park, Cisse, Green quality, then you can take your quality and **** off. What we need is 10 work men, because Adel Taarabt has enough quality in himself to get us out of this. Jamie Mackie is as important to us as Adel Taarabt.

Mackie hasnt the ability of a premiership quality player but i will miss his passion, his aggression, his work rate, his "never say die" attitude, his presence in a dressing room of indifference and his professionalism. Harry shouldnt sell him unless he replaces him with someone better and just as keen. If we sell him to another prem team then we are mugs.

yeah but we could go down the road again of signing lazy only here for the money players and side lineing once more our champoinship players, this didnt work under warnock or hughes so how is it gonna work under harry?? will we as a club never learn our lesson? i really cant understand this mind set its just crazy!

if its goals that we need then hoilett is better. played half the number of games as mackie and has scored more than him this season.

so, hoilett has more QUALITY than mackie.

If QPR can become a WBA then Mackie can be sold, he isn't good enough in the PL imo. this sort of post drive me nuts! mackie is a prem player who will go to a prem club if we go down! i dont think he will want to stay at rangers if we go down and i wouldnt blame him!

Adel/Hoilett/Park/Fabio/Traore/Cesar/Granero/Remy/Mbia will all be off or want away if we go down (and lets face it we are odds on at the bookies to get relegated) so i think we may miss the likes of Mackie if that happens.
