Cisse gone - to Qatar or...?

According to this Greek paper http://www.ekathimerini.com/4dcgi/_w...01/2013_478851

Panathinaikos will have to wait at least until this summer before it can welcome back its former star striker Djibril Cisse, as the ex-French international has been loaned out by Queen's Park Rangers to Qatari club Al-Arabi until the end of the season.

Reports on Wednesday suggested that the 31-year-old forward informed Panathinaikos president Yiannis Alafouzos that Al-Arabi has paid 500,000 euros to the London club that owns Cisse and acquired his services for the next few months.

Panathinaikos was planning to borrow Cisse from QPR for free, only by paying his wages for the rest of his contract until the summer, but QPR was eager to cash in on the Frenchman in order to fund the acquisition of Loic Remy, its new signing from Marseille.

Nevertheless, Cisse reportedly told Alafouzos that he remains eager to return to Panathinaikos saying «we'll talk about it again in May».

thanks for last season cisse but thank god he is now gone, 500k in tonys pocket and 45k off the wage bill. that makes remy 30k wages a week and 7.5 mil fee. well done tony.

then factor in dj's 20k aweek, going to ipswich, we will be paying 10k a week for remy.

and how about barton? what could we get for him and how much % of his wages are we still paying him? plenty of savings to be made for tony now.

I'm pretty sure she won't be allowed in Qatar with him as she's Jewish!

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

That's a fair point mate and 1 I will take note of.

It won't happen over night but things are changing.

He's off. Just tweeted apologising to his Panathaikos fans that he can't join them until end of the season.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
