How is this an anti Mackie post? Not one negative comment or pop at him: simply a theoretical question from the OP.

So what? Neither would Messi or Ronaldo but i am sure you would recognise that ability and importance to a team would come before how much passion someone shows?! Not saying Hangeland is in their class but he would be our best centre back by a mile and would start every game. We are crying out for a decent centre back.

It is not all about passion and effort. Cisse does a third of Mackie's effort and passion. But if you had to pick one of them to put away chances you would play Cisse all day long.

The reason for the question is that there have been reports that Fulham were interested in Mackie and QPR interested in Hangeland. So I'm interested to see what other posters opinions on the swap scenario.

There is no swipe at JM and no hidden agenda it's the question of the loss vs the gain

like Harry says...if we had 11 Jamie Mackie's in our team we wouldnt be in this position.

He said the same about Nelsen and Hill but both are widely tipped to leave. They are good hard working players who has done well. If they go why not Mackie too?

I take your point, but we needs forward players far more than centre backs imo.

Fulham is probably buying a new Norwegian defender Vegard Forren, I should believe this could mean that Hangeland is willing to listen to offers from other clubs?

                  Yes without any hesitation.

No offence to Mackie, but QPR can use a number of other players in his position, i.e. Holiett, Park, SWP or change the formation around i.e. 3-5-2, 4-3-3, 4-4-1 etc depending on which players are signed or available.

Hangeland (or someone similar) is someone QPR actually need.

But why should Hangeland want to go from stabilty to chaos. I don´t think he will even consider us.

well if its all hypothetical then i would get rid of Hoilett,Park,Swp,Diakite and Mbia in midfield before i got rid of Jamie Mackie.
