  • Adel doing himself no favours, yet again...

‘I would only refuse offers from the big English clubs, if Milan made me an offer,’ Taarabt told Gazzetta dello Sport. 'My agent is in talks with [Milan vice-president Adriano] Galliani, but it depends on what happens with Robinho and Pastore.' However, in a move that is unlikely to endear the Moroccan to the Milan faithful, he added that he would only be using the Rossoneri as a stepping stone to greater things. 'Milan aren’t going through a glorious period now, and they’re no longer a part of the top clubs. However, if I joined Milan then it would open up the doors for me to great clubs like Real Madrid and Barca. My friend [Kevin Prince] Boateng is also at Milan. When we were at Tottenham he was often in the stands, so I think that I have a chance too.’ http://metro.co.uk/2012/12/24/adel-t...drid-3329087/?

Adel does himself absolutely no favours with our fans and club by continually coming out with these type of quotes.

He puts in one great performance against Fulham and predictably he then starts stirring up all this transfer speculation. He's clearly still immature and being badly advised by agents with their own ulterior motives.

He would, of course, be far better advised to just STFU and focus purely on putting in top performances on a CONSISTENT basis for his CURRENT club - something he has so far failed to achieve in the PL. If he continually allows his own hype to keep going to his head it will ultimately be his own downfall - this is never the case with the truly world class players.

Tarrabt problems are in his head and after one decent performance he comes out with these type of quotes. Last week it was Barcelona this week Milan, no surprise he was average at best up at Newcastle yet he and many on here still believe he is world class and everyone wants to sign him, time will tell.

Hopefully Redknapp brings him back down to Earth and sorts him out.

I am sure he attracts interest but repeating stuff like this don't look good. I heard Fergie talking in the week at how he has had to tone down the hair dryer because many of the younger players these days are so fragile. When he started a lot of footballers had apprenticeships or jobs in the real world like the building trade or similar. So they got a grounding from their jobs and mates and an idea of how the world is. If you are a millionaire straight out of school you don't get that. Ryan Giggs has managed to keep his head straight but a lot of younger players are not like that and live a bit of a fairy tale life. Cannot blame them. But I can see why Harry wants people like David Beckham and Scott Parker types about the place - if just to try to keep the atmosphere right.

Its referring to a January transfer to Milan. And last week he was talking about Barca.

This. Remember Warnock saying about how many hangers on / advisors head to go trough to speak to Adel. All of these sharks are in it for themselves and want a cut of any signing on fee and wages so they're obviously going to feed him these stories and hope he gets himself a move so they can make a quick buck.

Actually he is. He has never played in a club surrounded by great players, if he did, I am sure we'll see a better, improved Tarbs.

He has also been quoted as saying:

"I'd leave London only for Manchester United, the club of my dreams, where there is no number 10.
"For Mr Ferguson I'd also stay silent on the bench and I would work hard."

Looks like he really wants to go to Old Trafford. Must say, these type of quotes to disappoint me. I like Tarbs, I know he loves QPR and the fans, and I understand that he also has ambition, is young, and probably feels he deserves to be playing for a much bigger club (let's face it, there are much worse players than him playing at the bigger stage), but it is still disrespectful for him to be coming out with this kind of stuff. We pay your wages, so knuckle down and concentrate on us.

don't see a problem with this.

I think it's time for him to leave.

He is not a championship player and he must be sick of carrying us, if he doesn't perform we lose it really is that simple.

Done enough for this football club to deserve far more respect.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Have to agree here. Although must admit these quotes form him are a bit infuriating as he is contracted to us and we pay his wages so I think he should respect us enough to not make such comments. I dont think intelligence and common sesne are high on his list of personal traits though tbh.
