I agree with this. Some people don;t understand his subtle brilliance. The role he plays was instrumental to our promotion and could be to our survival this year. He sits quite deep within the middle third of the pitch and controls the conversion from defense to attack. He takes the ball from the defense and distributes it effectively, you will never see him hoofing the ball up field, he always remains calm and composed. Without him, we waste too much possession hoofing the ball up field, or losing the ball through poor distribution.

His distribution and break up play contribute enormously to our possession, this is what wins matches

Yes, he is very good when he gets to play on his left foot in the final third of the pitch, but he doesn't even look half as comfortable if he is forced on to his right foot. In fact, he rarely plays off of his right side.

Previous managers have tried to get him out as they all realised that teams exploit the space behind him. Warnock to an extent, Hughes and now Redknapp.

Excuse me sounding sarcastic here, but isnt that the case with every player? Players stick to what their good and what their strengths are; you wouldn't judge Berbatov on how many yards he runs in a game or Tarbs on how many headers he wins.
I saw a stat the other day (cant remember it exactly off the top of my head) but it was something like he has made the 5th highest amount of successful long range passes in the PL - pretty impressive considering he hasnt played much. And last year when he got injured he had made the 2nd most tackles in the league, behind Lucas.

Exactly as Spank & Essex said, he was critical in the win vs Foolham and links defence and attack so so well. He can stick to being left footed only all he wants if he continues to play like he did against Foolham.

I do and, personally, think he is superb and havent noticed any weak link with him being on that foot tbh.

I hadn't actually noticed this. Will look out for it. I think the style of play with him on the pitch is far superior to when he is absent. We appear more composed and play possessive football. To me he hasn;t looked at his best this season, i think he may need a few games under his belt.

I agree somewhere between the two of ya. The point is Faurlin can be a great player for us. His distribution is top notch, he feeds Adel and, when he's in the right position, he makes a lot of tackles... but he leaves space behind him, is slow to turn etc. So we need MBia next to him when we're playing against energetic midfields, someone to mop up so we don't have midfielders driving at Hill and Nelsen, pulling them out of position.

I like Harry but I wouldn't put the Fulham win down to his tactics in particular.

I was more impressed he was able to get a team pulling in the same direction from what Hughes left him.

Don't wanna blow my own trumpet or anything, but I got Forest Green into the League Cup Quarters (lost to Villa 3-1) and upto Division 2 in my Championship Manager 01-02 game.
