This thread should be sent to Harry straight away for his future consideration! The tactical nous and awareness of some fans is mightily impressive and how they are not employed in the game is a mystery and footballs loss. Good stuff!!:pleasantsuprise:

tbf fans are bombarded with media and pundits and people around clubs talking about this magical thing called "tactics" and so it becomes the language of a lot of football discussion.
Occasionally tactics make a difference but 90%+ of football is getting good players making them happy and getting them playing as a team.
Sometimes that wood gets missed while the discussion is centered on the occasional tree.

Agree! its basically about going out there giving it your all and most importantly having a good time.

To many people try to over complicate the beautiful game.

Don't wanna blow my own trumpet or anything, but I got Forest Green into the League Cup Quarters (lost to Villa 3-1) and upto Division 2 in my Championship Manager 01-02 game.

hahaha - you're playing the wrong game Matty!! wasnt being sarky(it may have come as such though!) or anything in my post re the tactics thing - i am genuinely impressed by some fans in depth knowledge of tactics - ive been watching football for over fifty years now and thought I knew a bit ......but obviously not !
