    Boxing Day game could be called off

    Club having meetings today to discuss as we are close to many stations that fans rely on.

    I guess it can't be postponed 24hours like Arsenal did last year as we have the scousers on the 29th is it?

    Hope it goes ahead myself I like the Boxing Day fixtures.

    That would be a joke! Surely people can get a lift, get buses, get taxis.......and surprise, surprise LU staff will be on strike again.............what's it this time? 7% pay rise and another 4 weeks holiday?
    First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

      Row over bank holiday pay.

      Can't be that hard to get a lift one time can it? Hope it goes ahead.

        Not sure why they are striking, but surely can't be money or overtime again? Massively over paid for a totally unskilled job and they knew they had to work BH when they sign the contract yet blackmail the nation when they have to do it.

        PS - if any of you are LU drivers or workers I couldn't give a sh1t if you find that offensive in anyway. And no - you are not skilled workers.

          Good time to be playing West Brom as well. We need the points before the African players head off.

              More here;

              Football fans across the capital face Christmas chaos after London Underground drivers announced they are to stage three strikes, including one on Boxing Day.

                  Fark that I'd need to live in the SA Road concourse area then. I dont do walking. My inner thighs chafe.

                          I would be pretty miffed if the club were stupid enough to do this.

                          Bought 2 extra tickets for the Mrs and stepson, along with the return train tickets from Brighton so we can all have a good old drink without the driving issue.

                          The first time in 10 years we wouldn't have had the whole bloody tribe round ours on Boxing Day. Just spent a long weekend in Paris with them, so don't need a repeat performance just yet.

                              Shift patterns starting at 4 in the morning one week, then the next finishing at 1am. All night shifts too, working most bank holidays including days like the royal wedding when everyone else is off. Not even gonna go in to the safety side of things but when things go wrong, who's responsible for the passengers? Can't even have a
                              Drink until we have two rest days together. Not a skilled job, but one that ****s with your life big time.

                              Everyone's entitled to their opinion however and I agree we are over paid but I would put my money on most of the people commenting being over paid too.
