There is a reason why fans do not run football clubs, they make emotive decisions and wear their hearts on their sleeves to the detriment of their judgement. I like Tony but he really shouldn't be using Twitter as a forum to discuss matters at QPR. He shouldn't be discussing matters about the club at all beyond AGM's and official channels. The Mark Hughes situation was obviously embarrassing but a situation of his own making. I would also suggest the last thing Harry needs right now is his chairman tweeting about football, especially when it is something he isn't knowledgeable enough to do so.Comment

It leaves them all open, that's why I feel they shouldn't use it.There is a reason why fans do not run football clubs, they make emotive decisions and wear their hearts on their sleeves to the detriment of their judgement. Sometimes people seem to think TF is a mug and knows nothing about football. Let's give him a bit more credit than that. I'm sure he knows more than we think. There is a reason why fans do not run football clubs, they make emotive decisions and wear their hearts on their sleeves to the detriment of their judgement. I can understand his public support of MH. The media was full of speculation about Hughes getting the sack. TF simply backed his manager up to the point the decision to sack him was taken. You may remember the turmoil at Blackburn when one of the top people there said that if Kean went on a losing streak he'd get the sack. This was at a public meeting. That can't have done the manager's confidence any good, nor the team's.
Besides, wouldn't we rather have a chairman that is open with fans instead of shadowy and faceless? How many clubs' supporters are concerned about faceless businessmen owning prem clubs and the dealings that go on? We've got a chairman that doesn't hide and is prepared to speak his mind publicly, and we criticise him for it?
You may not like his methods, but I do and so do the vast majority I'd bet, and I'd take TF over every chairman in football every day of the week.
It's part of what makes TF the great leader he is.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.Comment

I'm more concerned that Ian Taylor has tweeted about going to Nandos to treat themselves for finishing a programme......Nandos on the Uxbridge Road hasn't closed down has it?.....It was certainly there and still operating on SaturdayComment

Tony was in Malaysia yesterday and is off to India today. He's meeting up with Amit there and will be in the UK on Friday and at the Wigan game at the weekend.
Nothing to worry aboutComment

A great leader is something of a stretch, an affable and excellent speaker he is, a great leader of QPR? A little premature. If he pulls a rabbit out of the hat and club survive relegation, maybe but the reality is that since he has become chairman he thrown money at all the wrong players.Sometimes people seem to think TF is a mug and knows nothing about football. Let's give him a bit more credit than that. I'm sure he knows more than we think.

I think relegation will be a humbling experience for Tony, running a successful Racing team is incomparable to running a football club. The same can be said for acquired wealth. One does not equate to the other.
Tony ought to look at the clubs such as Swansea and Stoke to see how best to build stability at a club, because neither club has had the turnover of playing staff in the space of time we have in the last 24 months.
Tony is a nice guy, great character but I would have preferred the Mittals.Comment
