SWP has lost all confidence. Has barely scored a goal for us, except in Pre-season.

I agree that the most likley cause is confidence. But lack of confidence is often used to defend players. If a player can't perform when they are a bit down on confidence then they are not a good professional IMO as performance is what they are paid for.

Eh? If you lack confidence it's no excuse and makes you a bad professional?! Just when I thought it was safe to come back on here.....as for SWP hiding? Not being as good as people think may answer that, plus being over-rated and low on confidence aint a good combination.

Players that deal with pressure and don't go missing for 2 seasons because they are low on confidence are better at their jobs - yes.

I thought SWP played very well Yesterday. Had his first one gone in we would have romped home with him getting a hat trick. But if he was high on confidence he would have nestled the 1 on 1. Hoilett for me should not come on again, he was shocking when he came on and ridiculously lazy, standing still fr most of the time, Redknapp made a mistake bringing him on over Cisse IMO but I can also see why he wouldn't bring cisse on as he's been woeful this season. Desperately need couple of strikers in jan, and a winger who likes running at people
