Neil Warnock has hinted that Queens Park Rangers were wrong to sack him last season as they search for their first Premier League win of the campaign.

Manager Mark Hughes’s position appears extremely vulnerable with his side bottom of the Premier League table after 12 games.

Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat by fellow strugglers Southampton provoked fury among Rangers fans and, unlike on previous occasions, co-owner Tony Fernandes did not offer clear backing to his manager when he tweeted after the game.

Warnock will always be a QPR legend in my eyes - best manager we've had for many years. As an individual though, there's no doubt he's a bit of a ****.

Warnock will always be an idol but sacking him was the right thing to do, he brought soul into QPR but he's not a Premier League manager. Perfect Championship manager however & Leeds are very lucky to have him there

We owe Neil the fact we're in the premiership. And he's been entitled to feel aggrieved at much of the bullsh1t Hughes et al has been spouting about the state of the club etc in which Hughes found it. Is there any Rangers fan who's ever liked Hughes? At best we've tolerated him (perhaps one time respected him)? Have you ever heard Hughes' name sung by the fans? Ever?? We sang about Warnock all the time. We liked him. And he liked us. Happy days....

We'd not won in 10 or 12 games before he was sacked. Chelsea, Everton, Wolves & Stoke were great, but I strongly doubt we'd have beaten Liverpool, Arsenal, Swansea, Spurs and Stoke. In fact, our form when he left meant we'd have struggled against Wigan.
I'm fairly convinced we'd have been relegated if he'd stayed in charge. I'll never be able to prove it. Just my opinion.

His January signings hadn't started well, with Macheda. MAYBE, he'd have signed us Jalevic, maybe Roberts, maybe Diouf !
But Cisse's goals and to a lesser extent Zamora, Diakite & Taiwo were significant signings last season. Also Adel returned to some form and won 6 points from North London.

Where are Leeds today ? 18th closer to Relegation than Promotion - check the table.

Neil WAS a Legend turning us around from rock bottom of the Championship to Champions in 15 months (ish)

Perfectly put, it was time for him to go as it is now wit Hughes. Fernandes could see it then and acted, but his over confidence in Hughes' abilities has put him in a financial nightmare position.
