Hughes himself has said he thinks he can still turn it around, but says it needs to happen on Saturday or there very well might not be another chance to set it right. Seems to respect Tony a lot, so I'm hoping he does decide to go without a payoff. Think he'd gain a lot of respect if he did.

Exactly, so we should all let them get on with it rather than telling them to sack Hughes or appoint x manager. Given all we know about them it is possible that they have/ are weighing up all the options and are basing their decisions on a bit more solid information than is available to us (eg the cost of removing the Hughes team, the cost and availability of Harry or AN Other, the mood of the dressing room, the progress/ lack of in training etc etc etc). If the board want us to back Hughes, I will; if at some point they decide enough is enough and they have a Plan B in place, I will then back their judgement.
