I played in most positions and played a couple of times (and scored from inside my own half) on the plastic pitch at Loftus Rd in the mid 80s.

Started as a CB but spent most my life CM, attack minded, playmaker / goalscorer type but all rounder.... I would consider myself a Steven Gerrard type player. Also played up front for our College team which won the Southern league, and have spent time LM / LW also.

Only "proper" grounds i played at were Farnborough and Aldershot twice in a fortnight in the Hampshire Cup final we won and then League cup final we drew. We then lost the league cup replay as it fell in a batch of 7 games in 8 days at the end of the season (i kid you not!). Our manager used to say to other clubs who struggled to make a fixture, don't worry, we'll rearrange later in the season... As we got to both finals also that was the end result and it cost us.... We were only 11 and half the team fu$%ed half way through the run of games.

When I play now hover about at CB less running to do

Centre midfield (still playing) and at the risk of sounding big headed but I've got a mean free kick on me... So it annoys me QPR havent scored many free kicks
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

I played CM and then when the legs started to go, CB

My philosophy as a defender was, if the striker has no legs he can't run, so kick the b*stard!
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
