  • what was the strangest sale of a player ever

I think gary bannister and clive allen were both really strange sales because if you have someone who can put the ball in the net why sell him, ferdinand was a terrible mistake but at least we got very well financially compensated, what do you say lads

I was pretty shocked when Terry Venables sold big Bob Hazel..... in '84, I think.

yes bushranger the bobby hazell sale was really a strange one, rumours were that he had become unmanagable, but it was a sad day,ill always remember him player center forward and scoring with a header, bobby was a real charactor,he was pure agression

                  Jago selling Venables.

Even to Stan Bowles that was a complete mystery.

dave needham, when you think Ron Abbott came in to replace him it speaks volumns, relegated at the end of the season:rage:

Phil Parkes. Selling Clive Allen and Paul Goddard at the same time was a bad business.

Parksy for me couldn't believe it when he went, Clive Allen to Arsenal was also a little strange a few days before the season started and he didn't kick a ball for them then ?

selling Kasper at the begining of last season before we had bought in a decent replacement
