My mate many a year ago went up for a Leeds v Arsenal game.Took his Mrs and his mate did the same so they got a hotel and nade a weekend of it.Day of the game going to the ground they see the famous gotthe time mate scam going on ahead with any cockney getting a severe shoeing.As they went forward some poor Arsenal lad was getting a hiding so my mate gave him a couple of kicks and his best Yorkie accent some abuse and they all got past.He felt bad but hey the geezer was ####ed anyway.

I'm not sure distasteful chants have any bearing on one pea-brained thug in the crowd tbf, and it does him no credit at all to mention it in the same breath as this assault.

As with the accusation of diving last night, it just appears to be mitigating the fan doing something reprehensible.

Neil said that he hadn't actually seen the incident last night but had made the comment after one of his coaches told him he thought the keeper went down easily.
He was saying that their is a minority at all clubs that chant distasteful songs, and mentioned the wednesday fans chanting those things in response to the interviewer asking about the chants aimed at Dave Jones.
He did reiterate that matey is a *****. m-o-r-o-n
