    Just a thought...

5 of the 7 teams we have played are currently in the top 8. Are we doing ourselves injustice? Have we had an unfortunate opening few games?

With 8 of the bottom half still to play, could we potentially be a mid table team?

As the title states... Just a thought.

Where can one find Bush Babes?

    A very good stat/post

A good way to look at it.

Its tough because we keep playing teams that are 'IN FORM' or generally stated as a 'Top Four' team.

On paper we have a good team, I think we will be alright. We need a win desperately. Beating Everton would be a great result

they're up there because they've taken points off of us...at this stage of the season it means very little.

3 points haha - Not a massive amount.

WBA have done very well, as have West Ham

Not to mention that we have played the scum, spurs and City

I agree with the concept but let's think back to the table at the end of the first round of matches last year. I had a bout of very short term and self-inflicted memory loss and forgot who was top, so I looked at this year's table to prompt my memory - nope, no help there. And then my memory returned and the world seemed a better place because I remembered they are no longer a Premier League side

              This.

3 points may not be much, but when you consider that's 25% or more of the points tally of most teams in the league it's a massive factor.

Agree. Also the fact we have not only lost but gifted countless needless goals to other teams is a massive factor. Take Swansea for example, we should've beaten them and bar Greens howler giving them the impetus i'm sure we would of. We were totally dominant most of that first half and Mackie also missed an absolute sitter. Had we taken the lead i think that game and our season to date would've taken a massively different direction.

But the point is, we then gifted them pretty much every goal by misplaced passes when most our side were advanced of the ball, or by making it easy for them. The 5-0 flatttered them, but gave them huge confidence which they took into their next games and won again... agaisnt West Ham they were gifted 2 goals also... Recently reality has set in and they are simply average and losing many games.

I think thats the point though

                  - We have been unlucky as at THIS current point of the season, we have played the 'in form' teams

e.g. Swansea (at the start) WHU, WBA and so on... Again this Saturday with Everton

In fact our one team we have played who are not performing was Norwich, and we managed a point at a very hard ground. (Maybe proof)

We need to remember we have also shown good signs we aren't far away, and just need that win to kick us off imo. City for an hour, Chelsea and most of Spurswe were excellent.

Also bar the first 20 mins at West Brom we dominated the entire match (although worringly conceeded again before we scored ourselves in that spell)... and bear in mind they had won every game there this season and not conceeded a goal... we had 2 should've had more, and bossed the play. They have played good teams too in Liverpool and Everton plus ano that escapes me....

                        just a thought
our defence is not PL and until it is, we are going to struggle
we spend our lives tryng to make excuses and justify this and that
bottom line is we have players in our defence who are not PL
until that is addressed we are going to struggle and quite frankly I'm fed up with dominating play, looking better than the oppositon and losing
I HOPE EVERTON ARE ALL OVER US FOR 90 MINUTES AND WE WIN 1-0

Our defence is PL when all are fit. Many of our "back up" defenders are also PL std, but we've had to go beyond that recently due to injuries...

                          1st choice: Bosingwa.....Mbia...Nelsen....Fabio
                          2nd choice: Dyer........Ferdinand......Hill.....Traore

The fact we recently had 6 of the first 8 choices unavailable at the same time is unfortunate... it's not that the defence hasn't been addressed, because it has. Note Hill is only of use at CB as a back up, where he does a good job... as a LB forget it.
