Personally dont get this. Loads are ranting that Park should not have the armband because he does not lead the team or talk on the pitch. From memory Tarbs was the same he was not your stereotypical captain and Derry and Hill done most of the talking and organising.
The last two games he has been fantastic without the armband, he dont need the burden of it just let him get on with playing how he is playingComment

Must admit he's not captain material but the old captain Taarabt hardly done bad did he. Did you see him yesterday when he scored? Grabbed ball rushing back to centre spot yelling at the lads & pointing to his head telling them to think & concentrate. I love that. Haven't seen that once yet from Park.
