    Mark Hughes warned fans there is no quick fix to solve the defensive problems that are proving costly for Queens Park Rangers.

    His side twice surrendered the lead as they lost 3-2 against Reading last night and have now conceded 14 goals in seven matches this season.

    The same defensive lapses that denied Hughes’s side their first Premier League victory of the season at Tottenham on Sunday allowed Pavel Pogrebnyak to score a late winner at Loftus Road.

    Rangers looked vulnerable at the back without injured trio Anton Ferdinand, Fabio and Jose Bosingwa, while a lack of cohesion was all too apparent as Cameroon defender Stephane Mbia made his debut following his move from Marseille and Kieron Dyer started a game for the first time in 13 months at right-back
