lol......... The thing I don't get is why Mark would blame Adel for the 1st game.I don't remember him making a massive rick in the game, and although I have been critical of him surely his perfect role in the team was the role Hoilett played last week?

          Newspapers and their misleading headlines....

          Headline
Adel Taarabt must improve in training to make QPR return: Mark Hughes

QPR boss Mark Hughes says mercurial winger Adel Taarabt remains in his plans - but he must work harder in training if he is to win back a first-team place.

          Actual quote from Mark Hughes:

'He must keep on focusing on working hard in training and making it difficult to leave him out of the team.'

Subtle but very important difference. One plays into the image of Adel as a moody lazy player, one suggests a player who is working hard in training.

The third goal was his fault, but other than that, he was one of our best players that day. I think he got made the scapegoat.

Exactly! I had to read the article twice to try and find out exactly where MH said Tarbs was not working hard enough in training.

Maybe I am just loyal, and do not forget past contributions, or maybe I don't like players being judged unfairly, but Tarbs is still the best midfielder we have, he has raw talent that the likes of Granero can only ever dream of, and if we're not going to play him, then we need to sell him, because it is not fair on the fans to miss seeing such a great talent, and it is not fair on the player for wasting his career.
Granero can only ever dream of.....?

                It's you again Marshy.....! ;-)

You're right. I recall a Spainish newspaper reporting on how his form dipped for Real Madrid and he was getting in late traning due to distrubed sleeping patterns.....

"Granero, Granero, are you ok....you are talking in your sleep again"

"Oh, sorry love, just dreaming about that old Spurs reserve player again. Right, better dash, running late again"

                ;-)

Ok Ok, sorry, I'm being a ****. Has talent sure & I would like to see him included in some shape or form. Or perhaps just interested in what MH's thoughts/plans/frustrations are for him.

You clearly either did not go to the game or simply don't understand the role he was asked to play. Started one up front with a need to support the lone striker and release the supporting five midfield players quickly. What did Tarrabt do, contiually came too deep to get on the ball only to then either fail to release it early enough or try a couple of step overs loose it or play someone else into trouble.

Having done this he continually failed to track back to at least get into some sort of shape, let long god forbid make a tackle or decent challenge. All this to show what a good player HE is. Not the only poor performer but near the top, the others at least worked a bit for the team.

Can't believe the amount of discusson about Adel.
I am a huge fan of his, but 5 or 6 good games last year out of 30 something is not consistent enough. Only scored 2 goals and most corners didn't get past the 1st defender. No excuse for that in my book. He's not competing with Granero for a place but the Spaniard's corners and set pieces are different class.
All those people who think he should be an automatic choice should look at his performances in the PL and not against the likes of Barnsley, Coventry and S****horpe.
He has to perform consistently in this league, which he hasn't up to now.
If he plays well regularly, no question he should be picked but we don't need moody, sulky players who turn it on now and then.
By the way, I'm for him on form, very against him on last season's performances

Sorry dude, that is absolute rubbish. He kept coming back because that's what MH told him to do ... track back, track back. If he really was not doing what he was told to, MH would eith be screaming at him to stay up, or, he would have been subbed. Neither happened.

"Play someone else into trouble"? HAHAHA - ok, YOU clearly were not at the match.

he played 2000 minutes, which comes down to 22 games.

Big difference between saying "5 or 6 good games out of 30-something", and "5 or 6 games out of 22". Anyway, which QPR player had 5 or 6 good games last season? Exactly.

Yes, he had a poor season last season, but much of that was due to the fact of what was happening behind the scenes.

Anyway, MH will realise that he needs Adel and will bring him back in, and then when he is back on fire he'll shut up the fairweather fans who love a player when he scores but don't show any loyalty through the tough times.

if you read my post, you will see that I said I'm a huge fan of his but his petulant and immature antics don't endear himself to supporters or is that all part of "being a maverick and a genius" therefore allowed to behave how you like, get on a bus at half time coz you've been subbed and disrespect your team mates and the club that pay your wages.
How remiss and stupid of me not to realise that it's ok behavour. I agree that many of our players had a poor season, that's not a crime in my book. In some cases, they were out of ther depth but I don't remember many or any of them behaving like him.
As far as loyalty goes, I've been to 30 odd games a season since 1971 and that includes places like Vauxhall Motors and Yeovil, so I resent comments about my loyalty.
                          Feel free to correct me
