    skill wise - yes.
    morally - no.

he was left out because he and terry were having these publicised issues. england made their call by picking terry above ferdinand. imo Rio should stand firm.

No......Rio is also part of the hugely overrated 'golden generation' that failed time and time again....

England should be looking at losing more of these w*****s and trying new fresh players.

If I was Hodgson I wouldnt pick Rio - need to look ahead not behind.
In turn - if he did get asked and I was Rio, Id tell Roy where to shove it.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

No - he is nowhere near the player he was before and has a chronic injury problem. He can't play a tournament as he can't play games in quick succession and he looks like Plug from the Bash Street kids.

Why would we pick him? Bring some new players into the team on a regular basis.

Should Ferdinand play for England No No time for England to move away from the old guard younger players need to be picked
Terry Lampard Gerrard should have all been gone before the Euros, played a young side see how it goes
At least we would know what we have for world cup?

Defence is England's strongest area, has been for years. It's the attack that needs to be addressed.
