  • Obafemi Martins now a free agent

Apparently he's terminated his contract at Rubin Kazan. Still a very good player and I wouldn't mind if we signed him.

Would you like to see him playing for us?

He could still do a job. Although he hasn't been anywhere near as good as he was at Newcastle.

He's 48 this year so very good chance we'll sign him. Personally wouldnt be too excited about him at all and dont think he is much better, if any, than AJ anymore.

I'd question his hunger and desire, used to be a top player but his slide has been rather large. It's not his ability that's gone, so maybe he just needs the right manager to put a rocket up his backside. Only 27 still, could be a good option.

I got given a 3 month suspended sentance and banned for ever being involved in a football team again for doing that the striker of our Sunday side when he missed 2 sitters in our cup quarter final against The Kings Head. Seems theres one rule for some and another for others :strive:

Anyway, no way is Martins 27 - hes the same 27 as Taribo West is 38.

Good read this is youve gotta few mins: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...ge-old-problem

Can't sign him till Jan, has to be a free agent before the end of our transfer window for us to be able to sign him

Matty, what you do in the communal bath at full time is your business mate

I've heard rumours for years about Kanu, new one on me about Martins. Hard to judge but doesn't look that old. Could be wrong though, he'd fit right in if he is in his 30s though!

Big yes, I dont know how old he is but hes a good player who IMO didn't achieve as much as he could have in England
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Was good at Newcastle. The question is why did he terminate his contract?

I think Yousef meant Anzhi mate.
