Diakite: I am not depressed

i understand why the Club are trying to keep this under wraps, but with all the rumours going around I don't think it is doing anybody any good. The time has come for them to make some sort of announcement.

You should have never posted it in the first place IMO, it wouldn't surprise me if your thread was the catalyst for the story hitting the papers. Since posting on this MB I have had 3 direct quotes taken and put in the press so no point saying thepapers don't read the website.

I agree that we should be aware that papers read this forum but surely Hammersmith was not in the wrong posting his original comment in opening a discussion about it. this forum is about R fans getting points across, sharing ideas, discussing players and tactics. if the press read it then so be it. all they can report is along the lines of "some fans believe that..." etc.

the aim of this board is to get us discussing what we think - press or no press - otherwise we'd just be doctring what we type for fear of press. Hammersmith made no personal comments (negative for that matter) about a player with depression but merely suggested what he's heard on hear-say (or however). If we weren't allowed to post or comment on what we're heard fellow Rs say then 95% of the threads on this site should be taken down.

ps - Diakite - if it's true - is wished a successful recovery by this R.

There were posts mentioned about 3 weeks ago talking about Diakite having personal issues! If I remember rightly it was even mentioned last season when he suddenly didn't play in the last few games. It was nothing which was not public, especially after the club's recent statement.

But like I said, whatever 'issue' he has, I and like all other Rangers fans just hope he gets better because we all know when he is fit, he is a top player for us.

what's the cause for diakite's depression? I'm sure he didn't lose a babygirl like enke. getting paid millions to pay football for a living, he has it better than 90 percent of us.

depression is an illness - it can affect you regardless of your financial circumstances. You either suffer from depression or you don't.

You were already over it , you couldn't wait to slate the pair of them ...this site gets more traffic than the rest of the MB's put together 90% of Rangers fans probably read about it on here.

You've always got to have some sort of dig after an away day just because you were, if it isn't the team your slating its our actual supporters.

Two damaging threads IMO and you knew exacatly what response they could generate, stop with the holier than thou approach it doesn't wash.
