I know the Borrowdales of this world were no great shakes but its amazing from being on the books of a prem club one minute to basically being unemployed. Wd have thought a champ club wd have signed gabiddon - he must have played 20 odd games for us last season. wonder if akos is regretting not signing that one year contract extension we offered him now? with barton off, diakite's issues, ale not being entirely fit, derry's age, granero's late arrival etc etc there was a real chance for him there if he had nailed it pre-season.

Gianluca Zambrotta is a free agent after leaving Milan. He's a left back,but is he something like 33-34? List of his previous teams are pretty impressive : Juventus, Barcelona and Milan and whos knows how many caps he won for Italy

for us I think that's right, and it needs to be a real emergency - but championship loan window opening soon, hence why we can off-load some players.
