    Squad Togetherness

Its early days in the season i know but i fear another struggling year.. Our squad has been ripped apart and 12 new arrivals... Southampton, Reading, Swansea and Norwich will play for each other.. I fear we have to many money men and egos in our squad for us to move forward..

I know last season when it mattered we showed up but against lesser oppoisition we just dont play.

Im hoping the quality will shine through and we will be fine..

We have 12 new players a new team when they gel it will be great. Glad we have had the tough games during our gelling period.

Why so many negative threads!? We'll be fine! We played well yesterday (well better than most of us expected!) and we can only get better with the players we have.

Have to admit I share the views of Mellow on this one; I hope its not something that'll be an issue, but I can see with such a mix of players brought together all at once itll take a while to "bond". As Mellow states though, I hope quality shines through.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

It will shine through, we saw that in patches yesterday, plus have poss our best 2 signings yet to play, and Diakite to hopefully return therafter.

Anyway, most the teams mentioned weren't far behind with new recruits having about 8 if I recall....

                It's an understandable fear, but...

Not sure why the nine new players at Reading and all the new signings at the other clubs will definitely bond and fight for each other, but ours won't, as suggested in the OP.

I reckon we'll grab 3 pts versus chelsea.

Yes, because our mercenaries are somehow less loyal than everyone else's mercenaries? What an asinine comment.

Considering some of the body blocks and tackles that our players were doing yesterday, I don't think commitment to the cause is an issue.

Adel Taarabt has been at the club longer than a lot of people at the club, is he more committed than Bobby Zamora? Is he bollux.

All footballers are mercenaries. Look at paddy kenny? He showed what he really thought of the cub when he left. If we start winning, everything will be fine. Winning drives team spirit not the other way round.

If you dont have team spirit, you dont win. My opinion, sorry.
