and hopefully the club/agent/player have had a fairly detailed phone conversation about wages etc so they at least know they are in the same ballpark.

they must have some kind of agreement with Granero already,because why do medical if you haven't discuss any personal terms? To me it doesn't make sense to do 1-2 days of medical and then notice that both parties are miles apart

From what I have seen, M'Bia has already agreed terms. Only thing holding the move up is Joey passing the medical.

Various sources, from the mouth of the player himself apparently. He more or less said the deal is done, he rejected Fenerbache's offer in favour of ours. The Marseille president said though, that he will only let the player go when they have a replacement in. I think come 4-5pm it will be announced, Joey is on the second part of his medical according to Sky. Since they have a reporter there, would seem accurate.

k thanks for the clear up but there are some reports on twitter saying that the deal has stalled but then there are others saying he is on the plane to london- Doesn't sound like any1 has much of a clue and this deal will only happen if Barton moves to marseilles

I'd ditch at least half of the aforemntioned if it meant we had just one high quality CB.
