    In-Direct Free kick

Just watching the Big match revisited, Man C v Scumsea 1979. When was the last time you saw an indirect free kick given inside the penalty area? Normally just a pen now isn't it?

    Scumsea.
    Love that, Dave.
Mind if I borrow that ephitat when I have to refer to 'em, Chavs seems too complimentary by comparison.

But that don't happen that often does it. This was Mickey Droy shouldering Peter Barnes off the ball to allow it to run out of play

My husband and I discussed this recently and concluded that either the rules had changed or refs didn't give indirect free kicks anymore. A few days later in the Olympics Canada vs. USA (women) the ref gave an indirect free kick against Canada because the goalie held the ball for 10 seconds.

Pretty sure Cristiano Ronaldo scored a free kick in the box for United.
                On Julio Cesar...

Refs used to give indirect free kicks for stuff like obstruction, but I don't think they do anymore.
