The thought of Derry starting a PL game worries me massively.

I think you underestimate the rest of us, and you assume that because you have an 'anyone but Adel' mindset, that we would be the polar opposite, and insist that Adel is untouchable. That's not the case, certainly not for me at least

If there is a line up that works better without Adel,then so be it. At the moment I'm convinced there is no such line up.

Your line up up there is as close as we can get, but I think Adel wide and Park in the middle, is stronger than Park wide and Derry in the middle.

It is good to know we have options this season however.

I was so happy he was playing behind Cisse last week, as IMO, that's his natural position (been saying this all last season), it allows him to be free and do what he does best, without affecting the shape or balance of the team, but he made a pigs ear of it and MH will be brave to play him there again in a hurry. Just so you know, I do not give a flying **** who plays as long as we win, I don't care if wen win playing champagne football or not, its all about winning for me and if Adel deserves to start, good, but IMO after last week he don't and when did he last have a good away day to justify inclusion ?

The fact lots of people are falling over themselves to play Adel on the right, is testament to the fact we have better players elsewhere and how he is running out of positions to make his own and agree, the options are getting better.

People who say we keep more possesion with Derry in midfield is rubbish. His passing is terrible now as we saw last year he can tackle but passing is horrendous.

Thing is though Paul, I can see what youre saying, but giving Adel 1 game there and saying he cant do it isnt really fair is it? Based upon the Swansea game, near enough everybody bar Hoilet & Park wouldnt get a game in the positions they played. Dont think its too fair to judge too much based upon that poor excuse for a football game.

Regards your opinion people juggling the team around Adel, as DeepCut mentioned, thats only because, currently (IMO anyway), playing Adel RM & Park CM is a far better option than Derry CM & Park RM. If we had Ale back at full fitness then I would probably be saying, yes, drop Adel, play Ale & Diakite CM & Park RM - its just at the moment I dont feelwe have adequete replacement for Adel.

Just differing opinions thats all. Again as DeepCut mentioned, it is good that we dont have an 11 that selects itself and that we have options of rotation I think.

Its not a question of "people falling over themselves". People simply disagree with you that Mackie is a better option on the right than Adel. As already said, Adel can play just as well on either wing, or behind the striker. But we can disagree, no harm in that is there

Dyer (if he can stay fit) is pretty versatile - I wonder if we could use him in place of Derry, who I agree doesn't appear likely to complete 90 minutes at this level now.

Totally agree, but explain this one for me. In a must win game at Man City last season, JM played on the right and scored a superb goal, while a fully fit Adel was sitting on the bench, so in MH's eyes, Adel is not abetter option on the right......
