Well its public knowledge we've had a bid accepted for dawson with people sayin anything from 5.5 to 10mil?
It bascially indicates that as Mouriniho understands it we are only lookig to sign one centre back. So if the Dawson one goes through we will draw interest in Carvalho.
Maybe we made the bids at the same time not expecting both to come off? which is understandable...

EDIT: On rereading this I think I might have had a sense of humour failure

      Very interesting quote from Mouriniho:

"I can't confirm anything with QPR," Mourinho stated. "I don't even know if the information is correct or not because they've told me that Dawson has signed for QPR for £9 million – if they've signed Dawson, I don't know if they'll be interested in Carvalho."

i think tottenham were linked with a move for carvalho once we have snapped up dawson. he is probably shocked that we are in for both and tottenham have been screwed hahaha

Bosingwa, Carvalho, Dawson, Fabio/Traore..... there is not too many defences in the Premier League that will be stronger than that!!!!

Can't help feeling this whole thing is going to come crashing down around us. One or two older experienced players,ok. But another 34 year old in a defence where the average age is already about...33 or so??
We'll be after Rooney next.Mickey not Wayne.

If these two join it will mean Hughes has signed 15 players since arriving in January.....that's a bit mental when you think about it.

Not really,i think it shows how poor our squad was and what a ####ing unreal job they did to get in the Prem with it.We now need a proper Prem squad and due to the ages of a number of our signings i can see big turnovers in stafff for next 3/4 seasons.

Which players wouldn't you have signed?

I think he's just referring to the number of new players, rather than suggesitng there are more than we need.

Imagine, how the younger players can learn from him. Dawson as well, if he is to partner him..
