we have to remember that Green made costly erros in pre-season also,against Persebaya and Augsburg(with Anton's assist),so it's 3 errors whick leads to a goal in what 5 games. We can't afford that,but i also hope that Green will pick up his game and shows why he's England keeper. But i don't mind if we sign Boruc,competition is always good

This is exactly what I want, both keepers IMO have similar ability, and I think strong competition would do green the world of good, giving him a right kick up the jacksy. Get him sparky!

only what I said after sat.....don't think it's fair to drop Green, after one game, but we need better back up than Cerny and Murphy imo

Cerny did a great job for us last season with Kenny out, and has been a great servant for us. For this reason, if we did sign Boruc, I'd get rid of Murphy.

Personally, if this does happen, I would keep Murphy in the squad - and give Radek a more formal role on the staff. He has been doing that role informally for the last 12 months anyway and is well known to be one of the most positive forces in the Club, in terms of training, attitude and all round support.

not that this has anything to do with him as a player or coach, but on the subject of Cerny, I know a bloke who was at the POTY do the year before we came up and took his nipper, said 75% of the team were rude as you like, had no time for the fans and just wanted to get out ASAP to go clubbing, but said Cerny was top bloke, had time for everyone and was chatting away for hours and even stayed afterwards having photos done with all the kids.
Cant be a bad thing having a bloke like that around can it?

I think Cerny is underated,anytime he has come in he has played well,wasnt it aginst Liverpool last season at Anfield he saved up many times. I cant believe he hasnt been a first choice for someone over the past few years.
