  • Reasons to be cheerful

Ok, enough with the doom and gloom everyone. Here's my reasons to be cheerful.

    1) Ale Faurlin, he's coming back and was outstanding for us last year. Not only can the lad pass a ball, don't forget he was one of the best tacklers in the Premier League last season.

    2) Junior Hoilett, impressed me with how much he scared defences when he cut inside and ran at people. Imagine Traore galloping in behind him and looking to cross into the box? There's goals from that flank, 100% guaranteed.

    3) Samba Diakite, let's not forget those great runs the lad makes. Just glides past folk. Not the finished article by any stretch of the imagination. But what a player he's got the chance of being, and lucky us we get to see it happen.

4 Bobby Zamora, one of the best hold up players in the Premier League. Hopefully after yesterday, the value of a Zamora really speaks for itself. He got 7 goals and 7 assists last year, and in a settled side I'm sure he will improve on that. A real team player, and will get the best out of..

    5. Djibrill Cisse, talented finisher, and alongside Bobby will surely get himself a good goal tally. A lone striker he isn't, but whether he starts or not with the right service he is a goal machine.

    6. Sung-Park, Ji, had a solid debut for us. Looked tidy in possession, a lot more to come from this guy. With the right mix in midfield he will be outstanding for us, reads the game well, has a good engine and can pick out a pass too. There's a reason we were excited to get him. Remember?

    7. Tony Fernandes, and all the behind the scenes staff. We've got a good solid base behind the scenes. Let's not forget all the good work that has been put in. Regardless of the result on Saturday. The future is still looking bright.

    8. We're in the Premier League, football is all about ups and downs. We got turned over yesterday, and looked like a load of muppets. But better teams than us have been humiliated. It's why we love the game, let's just enjoy the thrill ride. There's no better league in the world to be a part of. And let's just look forward to when we thump some shower of **** in the not too distant future!
