Becoming more apparent he was near enough spot on. Can you not ban posters when they show they provide nothing positive to this forum and simply clutter it with $hit? If, after a few posts its crystal clear theyre either a troll or just a general numpty, just ban them straight away. Its obvious for all to see that some posters make this forum look stupid at times, as today is proving. Surely its best for all to just sack the idiots off and streamline the forum with at least half sensible posters? Yes yes I do appreciate that last sentance means alot of people would have me banned

Thanks Bluehoop. Banned him now too. Hopefully they'll eventually get bored of setting up new accounts. Mods dont always catch everything straight away so we do appreciate it when posters bring it to our attention

One problem we face is the fact that we have "open" registrations. Anybody can sign up with this method and although designed in order to create less work for admin, particularly when we may be getting some interesting new members from overseas, it is open to abuse.

What I would suggest is that all "normal" members should use the PM facility to report any genuine incidents like these, but give us time to act unless in extreme cases, as we always need a certain amount of people to agree to a ban. Let's see if this approach helps to resolve these types of problem.

If I may, could I also ask that members pay a little more respect to certain rules in return. Those who I refer to should be aware of who they are and the rules that they continuously flout.

Thanks for your concern Matty. And thank you to W12 for highlighting the problem initially, despite the fact that a polite PM may have been a better approach.

Is it possible to have it set up (as happens on other sites) that if somebody who has been banned tries to set up a new account with the same IPO they are not allowed to.

Totally agree with Matty and in an ideal world this would be great to implement - but there's a few on here who seem to be untouchable and appear to be immune from critisism and being banned, despite constant garbage threads. So unless the rule is applied to literally everyone, whoever they are and how high their post count is, the system would be unworkable.
