Not seen a lot of Allen but i personally wouldnt swap him for Diakite. I think potentially we have the new Vieira

Bias obviously but Diakite, without even needing to think about it. The lad oozes class and will be a top top player 1 day. Honestly think getting him for £3.2mill (?) could be the bargain of the season in the PL, hands down.

To be fair I rate Allen, but the figures banded around for him are way over the top. Another case of Liverpool paying over the odds for British players.

Both players have the potential to be top Premiership players, but Diakite's build will work in his favour. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some of the big teams come in for Diakite next summer.

not a good comparison to make as both are different style players...agreed £15 mill for allen is daft and diakite represents the better value by a mile,but allen is a very tidy footballer..
