Read somewhere yesterday that Berbatov had turned us down.Otherwise not a lot to choose between them.Berbatov a goal every 2.18 games and Defoe a goal every 2.41.

Berba all day long. Defoe is too similar to Cisse. I think we can nab Berba at a slightly better price and his conversion rates are a bit better too. Would love to see a Berbatov and Cisse partnership (strictly on the field).

Knowing our luck we will probably sign neither and Cisse/others will get injured and we will end up playing Hulse up front.

Talking about it doesn't really make it any more realistic.

Blackburn fans were talking about signing Ronaldinho, Kaka and Becks not so long ago. They were relegated a year later.

We are in a better place, but anyone can start these rumours - in fact the club themsleves have an intereste in us being linked with targets we will never sign.
