    Next season formation?

    Hi all

it seems to me that come the first game of the season Sparky and co. will have a tough job on their hands deciding the correct formation to play because of the sheer amount of quality attacking and midfield players in our squad.

For me it could either look like this:
    --------------------------------Green-------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------Green------------------------------------------
----------Onuha(spelling?)----Nelson-----Anton-------------Fabio--------Or it could look like this ----------Onuha----------------Nelson---------Anton---------------Fabio--------
    --------------------------Diakite------Faurlin(fitnes depending)------------ Taarabt/Hoilett--------------Faurlin---------Diakite--------------Park----------
    ---------------Hoilett-------------Taarabt--------------Park------------------- -------------------------------Cisse----------Zamora(or JH up top?)-----------
    -------------------------------------Cisse(or Zamora?)------------------------
I have been told that Hughes is a 4-4-2 man but this means he must drop one of our midfield players or play JH(dropping Bobby?) up top well let me know what you lot think will work best for the team?

Fortunately, with the players Hughes has signed we seem to have a plan A,B and C and maybe even D,which equates to 3-5-2 or 4-4-2,4-5-1 or 4-3-3.What a nice headache to have, makes a change from having just a plan A!
I came here to chew gum and kick ass,and I'm all outta gum!

If one of Ki or Hargreaves comes(only Hargreaves fits well)-
      my squad-

      ----------------------------Green------------------------------------------
      ----------Onuha----Nelson(Hill)-----Anton-------------Fabio--------
      -----------------Ki(Hargreaves)-----Diakite(Faurlin)--------
      Park(Taraabt)--------Taraabt(Park)-----------------Hoilett
      --------------------------Cisse----------------

Zamora will always play up front. Cisse/Tarbs may not always start games, but will be involved in every game.

Hughes does like 4-4-2, but as Andy said expect different formations like 4-4-1-1, 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 depending on the opposition.

that means three out every four games we'll have someone up top who is disinterested.

I find Zamora good in home games & bad in away games. I'm just hoping Mark Hughes can spot this too
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Wouldn't say he's poor in away games, just has more to do because of Hughes' away tactics tbf.

Tactics and starting 11 for next season?! You'll need a crystal ball for that mate the way we're signing players.

Just relax until August 18th and see what Sparky comes up with.
