Zamora - Number 9

Unlike Cisse as we all thought from the preseason shirt numbers, Zamora will be number 9 this season I assume as it's a premade option when buying the new kit. Pretty disappointed that Cisse hasn't got it really, thought he deserved the shirt after last season.

Have they named the squad numbers? I thought they named 2 ie; Taarabt 10, and Park 7, and i'm guessing Green 1, haven't heard anymore

I don't think so, just those at the moment, and 9 being Zamora (if the online store is correct). What number do you reckon Cisse will have this season then? 23 like last? Maybe even 99 like he had in Italy (I hope not)

Yeah, online shop is definitely allowing us to order a 2012/13 replica shirt with Zamora and number 9 on it, only other option is Taarabt & 10. Seems a bit odd doesn't it when Park is confirmed as number 7, perhaps they are just waiting to confirm how his name will appear (i.e. Park or Ji-Sung Park or Park Ji-Sung).

Cisse is quite superstitious I believe, perhaps he doesn't want to change his number for that reason!

I'd rather not see him as no 99 just ridiculous, but other than that not really thought about it, the shirt which carries legendary status is no 10 at QPR, and that is sorted

Agreed, wouldn't have either. I'd sooner stick Adel with Cisse (or just behind him) than either of those two. In fact I reckon Adel may turn out to have been an old skool Rs 10 all along. I 'kin hope so given the lack of quality up there bar Cisse.
