Tribunal will mean us paying his remaining contract deal with Blackburn plus £2million, doubt it will be much more. Daniel Sturridge went for £3million and he was at City for ages.

He is out of contract and is no longer Blackburn's player. he only reason compensation is due is because of his age. Kean has no bargaining power at all - if Rangers don't want to agree the compo with Blackbum, it will be set by Tribunal. Kean can just do one so far as flexing his puny muscles is concerned.

Why would Mackie want to drop down a division?

TF came out and said there's no chances of us selling him, and I'm sure Hughes recognises what an important player Jamie was for us at the end of last season and will want to keep hold of him. There's no way he'd be used as a sweetener for this deal as it's not what the owner, manager or player want, plus it's not even needed as we can go through a tribunal!

Kean comes across as a right plank with this kind of posturing. He makes Colin Murray looks like Pep Guardiola with his knowledge of the game.
