I think the accepted recovery time for this kind of surgery is 6-9 months, If all goes well there is no reason why he couldnt be ready for the start of the season but it might be a tad optimistic. Should be ready to make a big contribution whenever he does return.

Close to a full return if the manager/coaching staff are allowing him to do some ball work.

Hope I am wrong with this one but I am worried because he is not a Hughes signing he could fall down the pecking order. As I say I hope I am wrong because for me he was our best player before he got injured. Would of won Player of the year hands down for me.

MH knows how popular Ale is with the fans, so provided Ale does a good job (which I am sure he will) he will figure in MHs plans.

I'm pretty sure he will go straight into the team once he's fully fit. He is still one of our best players, despite the quality we have brought in this summer.

If you think how good he was in match situations, he will look even more comfortable / composed and classy in training environments. don't worry, MH and his staff will know only too well how good he is, assuming he comes back from injury the same player.

I remember when Barton and Derry were on goals on sunday just after the Wolves win, Barton commented about how good Faurlin was... Said something like "Faurlin's a hell of a player, i never knew how good he was and he just never gives the ball away". The management will see the same hopefully.

One area he excelled was tacking and winning the ball back and i hope his injury doesn't play on his mind and cause him to reduce this aspect of his game as he was the best in the prem by some distance based on the stats. The difference with hiim also over other ball winners is that he also has every type of pass in his locker, most dont. He has the potential to become the complete Defensive midfielder and if so, the big boys will be sniffing next year.

I think we wouldn't have been in danger of going down if he had not got injured.

My friends son plays pro footy in Holland . He done his ACL and he reckons that 10 months is the BEST time it would take to get back to first team action, 12 months at the worst. Assuming Ales rehabs going well i would envisage October. Cant wait!
